This would probably be my favorite sculpture. I’ve always been fascinated with sculpture and compare it to film. I’ve always heard that sculpting is about taking a rock, and chiseling away everything that is not part of that art piece. I try to do the same thing through the lens, framing the shot in a way that truly let’s the audience see the story i’m trying to convey.
One thing to note that fascinates me is the fact that you can see the belly button through the “clothes” of this statue. That amount of detail amazes me. What are your thoughts on this piece?
