A couple of weeks ago while doing my usual research, I came across an article for The Hitcase. The Hitcase is a waterproof, mountable, shockproof protective case for your iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5. It basically turns your iPhone case into an action camera. It is the only iPhone case on the market with touchscreen capability that is waterproof up to 30 feet.
I’m a pretty big fan of using Gopros but when I heard about this, I thought “what a great concept.” Being able to have all of the iPhone apps and functionality combined with a solid built case to protect the phone. There are a ton of mounting features as well.
Essentially, you’d be able to shoot, edit, and post your footage using the same device, which we only dreamed of in the past. You can watch a pretty cool commercial and “making of video” shot entirely on the iPhone using The Hitcase:
The Hitcase has a ton of accessories including three different lenses: A super wide lens, a wide lens, and a macro lens.
The Hitcase works seamlessly with a free app called Vidometer. Vidometer allows you to record videos with graphic overlays like maps and speedometers. You can get the app here:

I look forward to testing this out and grabbing those lenses. Even with my other cameras, the fact that I always have my phone with me makes me feel like i’ll always be prepared to get a great shot. I’ll keep you updated on my findings as I shoot with it.
